My name is Dija. I am a Fashion and Textile Design graduate from ATU Galway. My design approach combines creativity,craftsmanship, and a strong eye for detail. Much of myinspiration comes from nature. The textures, forms, andcolors found in the natural world continuously influencemy approach to fashion and surface design.My Collection 'Mycelium Dreams' explores the forest as a living, dreamlike world shaped by memory, imagination, and nature. Inspired by childhood foraging trips with my grandmother, the collection draws from the quiet details found beneath the trees. My print collection incorporates organic forest elements such as mushrooms, ferns, trees, and tangled roots. These natural elements become distorted and reimagined through colour, texture, and surface design to create an atmosphere that feels both familiar and surreal. The collection reflects the feeling of entering another reality within the forest, where nature appears strange, magical, and almost psychedelic. Organic forms flow across the garments through layered prints, textured fabrics, and expressive silhouettes, capturing the sense of movement and growth found within the forest. 'Mycelium Dreams' is a collection that celebrates the hidden beauty of overlooked natural details while exploring themes of nostalgia, transformation, and connection to the natural world.
