'Midnight’s Last Breath', a poetic video piece, is an ode to the beautiful chaos of Irish nightlife. Fuelled by frightening statistics in the media, I was inspired to create this bittersweet love letter to Irish nightlife after seeing shutters come down on cherished locations for the final time.It’s not just about clubbing; it’s about culture, connection, and the messy joy of a night out: sticky floors, toilet pep talks and 3am food with friends. This piece aims to leave the viewer wondering 'What happens when we let go of the places we let go in?'My work blends poetry and film to prompt nostalgic and relatable memories with a sombre tone. Midnight’s Last Breath showcases the stark reality of what we had and what we’re in danger of losing.
