I am an MFA postgraduate artist based between Dundalk and Belfast. My practice is research- and process-driven, engaging with complex systems, fragmentation, and the indeterminate conditions of meaning in the digital age. Binary, black-and-white explorations of drawing and language examine ideas of immediacy within technologically mediated spaces, realised through prolonged, embodied processes that foreground duration, attention, and the act of making as a site of inquiry. Occupying a space between drawing, painting and installation, I work through language-based and expanded wall works that resist formal categorisation. Utilising analogue and digital strategies, I interrogate how processes translate between material and immaterial registers, and what inference occurs in the overlaps between. My work considers what it means to be a visual artist in an age shaped by algorithmic systems, informational noise, and data-driven networks, questioning how these conditions shape studio processes and embodied making.
