My practice is anchored in a deep sensitivity to the human impulse toward connection—both with one another and with the natural world. This process begins in the landscape, where I gather impressions by attuning myself to subtle shifts in light, form, and sound. These quiet, attentive moments become the emotional ground from which my paintings emerge. In the studio, I translate these experiences into immersive oil paintings that depict rich, layered landscapes where figure and environment merge. Through this merging, I explore the deep entanglement between people and the land—a connection that feels both grounding and essential to me. Green floods my work, echoing the lush environments that inspire it. These paintings offer a kind of refuge from the chaos of the world, evoking spaces that feel both wild and intimate. The abundance and vividness of the green speak not only to the vibrancy of nature, but also to the deep-rooted bond we share with the earth.
