The hammering sound of the reed as it beats the weft into the warp, the up and down motion of the shafts as I press the pedals, the shuttle moving back and forth, the singing and dancing of the loom, the rhythm, the peace, the beauty of constructing a woven fabric. As a textile and fashion design student, I begin each piece by hand-weaving fabric, which I then transform into layered, wearable accessories. My work celebrates process - texture, material, and making are at its core. Inspiration often comes from time spent in nature, observing form, colour, texture and light. These quiet moments shape my design direction and material choices. I aim to create work that feels personal and considered - inviting a slower, more thoughtful way of engaging with what we wear.
