Typically, we associate rural objects and places with tradition and nostalgia - my work attempts to recognise rural content as part of the contemporary world. In particular, I'm interested in objects found in yards, sheds and workshops. Equally, the physical expression of paint sitting on the surface plays an important role. It creates pieces that are at the meeting point of material and content.
