The primary inspiration for my collection 'Refraction' comes from water and its relationship with texture and form. I was particularly drawn to the rhythm of waves, the erosion of sand, and the shifting patterns left by the tide. These natural processes inspired me to explore the balance between control and surrender, strength and softness, allowing organic movement to influence both silhouette and construction. Throughout this collection, I explored confidence as something that comes from comfort, individuality, and freedom of movement rather than structure alone. I wanted the designs to feel expressive and playful, prioritising ease, personality, and fluidity over traditional notions of power dressing. As I continue to develop my practice, I want to continue to make conscious design choices while still creating work that feels bold, curious and enjoyable to wear.
