My practice is concerned with investigating the landscape. The landscape interests me as it allows me to explore both figuration and abstraction in my work. I create a world that is both fantastic and familiar. The landscape acts as an interesting framework to explore processes but also as a rich art medium within which I can explore narratives of human activity. Irish literature informs my work.
