Influenced by the mechanics and technicalities of 18th century stereoscopic viewing methods, I have created ‘doubled paintings’. The images presented within the work explore themes of memory and perception. They are a collage of references of fleeting moments; of the mundane, banal facets of daily life. Through viewer interaction, lenses and mirrors are used to create a 3-D hallucinate image.
