My work interrogates constructs of Irish identity. The work I have produced this year is made in the wake of the Repeal the 8th Amendment campaign and referendum. I appropriated images from medieval Irish manuscripts, as I had learned that abortion was penitential under Catholicism in medieval Ireland and there are four recorded case of abortions performed by Irish saints.
