The group exhibition, ‘at an uncertain place, at an uncertain time’ at Queen Street Studios, brings together three artists whose practices are concerned with the passage of time. Their work is primarily monochrome in palette, invoking an elegant simplicity. Jonathan Brennan shows cyanotypes and screenprint on paper, based on a series of negatives discovered by chance, combined with fossil drawings; Charys Wilson has large-scale still lifes in Conté crayon and ink; while Chris Wilson’s drawings are based on mapping strategies and multiple viewpoints. Prior to this, the gallery shows ‘It Crystallises into a Mould’, a new video installation by David Haughey.
It Crystallises into a Mould: 3 – 24 September; at an uncertain place, at an uncertain time: 2 – 29 October
