Once something has been uploaded onto the Internet, it’s online forever. Our digital footprint outlives us. The Internet is a graveyard. But like us, tech has a lifespan. If not backed up, updated or restored correctly, our digital presence dies out. I interpreted the term 'planned obsolescence' in the context of both human and computer lives, and drew parallels between this cycle of life and the ocean's tides. In 'I'm not dead yet', I observe the influence the Internet has on our understanding of grief. Within a pile of discarded machines, I display a combination of 2D animation techniques mixed with video to portray how the digital age has influenced our interpretation of death, grief and healing.
