The focus of my practice explores altered perceptions of scale, illusion, and spatial uncertainty within the framework of landscape. How we experience landscape is multifaceted - a collective of experiences, not just visual, but sensorial and experiential. Memory and recall play are an important part, both in reframing these experiences within a new context and in influencing my approach to experimenting with a range of techniques, processes, and materials. These processes incorporate the use of projection and light as sculptural tools, and the use of photography, not only as a means of documentation but as a medium for creating imagery where spatial uncertainty and altered perceptions of scale lead to the creation of otherworldly landscapes, real or imagined.
