I am a Dublin-based visual artist, originally from Italy, working across analogue and digital media — with a particular focus on analogue photography and immersive installation. Rooted in photography, my practice explores the relationship between tangible and intangible, the mechanical and the metaphysical, the camera and time. During my studies at NCAD, I expanded this enquiry to include themes of the Anthropocene, memory, and obsolescence — and their place within a world shaped by tireless technological development. Alongside photography, I have explored other ways of communicating and investigating these questions through different technologies and artistic processes, such as creative coding. Motivated by an interest in how time and memory become embedded in place, I conducted research into megalithic sites and tombs throughout Ireland. This work forms part of an ongoing visual enquiry into how humans record meaning, leave traces, and relate to what remains — or disappears — over time. My work reflects on our role in shaping structures that define the contemporary world. I am particularly interested in how we construct mechanisms to comprehend, contain, or preserve aspects of a reality that is increasingly shaped by human impact.
