Úna Forde selects a painting by Aubrey Levinthal in the collection of the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in County Mayo
Aubrey Levinthal, born and based in Philadelphia in the United States, is an established artist who has held numerous exhibitions abroad, including in Edinburgh, Italy and Berlin. Levinthal was awarded a Ballinglen Fellowship in 2017, a six-week residency at the centre. She came with her husband and their eleven-week-old son and, as she said at the time, she felt untethered, between identities and uncertain of herself.
