I am a furniture designer whose practice explores how emerging natural materials can shape more regenerative approaches to furniture design. Through material experimentation and user-centred design, I investigate how furniture can become a means of connecting people with the materials and processes from which it is made. Mycelium has become a central focus of my practice because of its ability to transform agricultural waste into a renewable, biodegradable composite, while offering new opportunities for participation, education and circular production. Rather than viewing furniture as a finished commodity, I am interested in creating objects and experiences that encourage material awareness and invite people to engage with the future of sustainable design. Through projects such as MycoMygrow, I explore how thoughtful design and visual communication can make emerging biomaterials accessible, desirable and meaningful, contributing to a slower, more conscious approach to living and making.
