Painting sits at the centre of my practice, evolving through an ongoing exchange between photography, printmaking, and installation. Through these processes, I explore perception, attention, and our experience of place, creating work that invites slow looking. My practice has developed through sustained observation of coastal sit spots and viewing structures along the Irish coastline. While these locations remain an important point of departure, the work has gradually shifted towards exploring the relationships, structures, and material qualities that emerge through process. I am interested in how meaning shifts through distance, position, and the relationships formed between images, objects, and space. The work invites sustained attention, allowing meaning to emerge over time.
