Working primarily with analogue photography and alternative photographic processes, I create intimate works that explores family, heritage, and belonging. My practice is rooted in the belief that photography can act as both a record and a form of connection, where the relationships formed through making are as important as the images themselves. Drawn to the tangible qualities of film, I embrace a process that is slow, physical, and relational. The material closeness of analogue photography echoes the relationships I build with my subjects, allowing trust, memory, and intimacy to accumulate over time. In this way, the act of photographing becomes a shared experience rather than a fixed outcome. My latest work, 'We are delighted to have you here,' is an ongoing photographic project born from an unexpected connection with Agnes and John, a farming couple living in County Kerry, Ireland. What began as a curiosity towards their home, their religious rituals, and a way of life very different from my own France, gradually developed into a deep personal bond. Over time, Agnes and John welcomed me into their family, affectionately adopting me as their grandchild. Through these photographs, I explore the intimacy of this chosen family, documenting gestures, rituals, and quiet moments that have shaped our relationship across distance and perspectives.
