Juno Calypso’s ‘The Honeymoon Suite’ will be exhibited at the Golden Thread Gallery, Belfast. A startling photographic mission, the series documents the artist’s one-woman tour of honeymoon hotels, dressed in the lurid pastels and wig of her alter-ego, Joyce. Taken at a couples-only resort in Pennsylvania, the work considers the presentation of the body and subverts the male gaze. Born in London, Calypso is an award-winning photographer. This exhibition runs as part of the Belfast Photo Festival.
