The Cork Midsummer Festival features work from over 160 artists. One public artwork, ‘Open Road’, developed by Illustrator Fatti Burke in collaboration with the Glucksman gallery, worked with children from communities who have less frequent opportunities to engage in cultural, artistic and creative programmes. During creative sessions the children were encouraged to develop stories and drawings about their dreams. Burke and the children will paint their completed design on a pedestrianised street in Cork during the festival. Image: Fatti Burke
