In partnership with the National Gallery of Ireland, the Crawford Art Gallery hosts the Zurich Portrait Prize 2019 – the first time the exhibition has travelled outside of Dublin – and the Zurich Young Portrait Prize 2019. Both exhibitions feature the shortlisted and winning works from each category. The twenty-six works in the adult categories, including overall winner Enda Bowe, show the exceptional breadth of contemporary portraiture in Ireland. This is echoed in the inaugural Young Portrait Prize, which includes work from artists aged three to eighteen, including winners Mabel Forsyth and Mary O’Carroll.
