An exhibition of works selected by Virginia Teehan will be on display at the Lavitt Gallery in June. Director of Cultural Projects at University College Cork, Teehan has been involved with the Glucksman, the Hunt Museum and other institutions. The exhibition presents painting, printmaking, sculpture and jewellery by some of Ireland’s finest makers, and features, among others, Jean Bardon, Rudolf Heltzel and John Shinnors. Following this, ‘Nostalgia’ will include a series of paintings, by Edward Yen Sang, an English-born but Cork-based artist. In August, the Society of Cork Potters will hold their annual members show at the gallery.
