‘Eilis O’Connell: A Family of Things’ at FE McWilliam Gallery, Banbridge includes works from all stages of the sculptor’s career and explores the development of her practice. Born in Derry, O’Connell studied in Cork and Boston and spent several decades working in England, where she was celebrated for her large-scale sculptures in steel, stone and bronze. Among her many public sculptures in Ireland are The Growth Dome in UCC and Apples and Atoms in Trinity College Dublin.
