Susan Connolly’s ‘GROUND (100 + 1)’ exhibition at the FE McWilliam Gallery, Banbridge is inspired by Mainie Jellett’s ‘Decoration’ and philosophical ideas. Connolly explores fragmented perception and the distractedness of experience, both on and off the canvas. Viewers are invited to explore the intersection of tradition and innovation in work that explores how painting is informed by, and performs, methods of research.
