The Lavelle Art Gallery, Clifden, shows new work by Connemara-based painter Mary Donnelly. In the 1980s, Donnelly moved from Dublin to Connemara, and her work, using low relief, celebrates the beauty of rural Ireland, going beyond what is visible to the naked eye to recreate the Connemara landscape as an individual spirit of place.
