At 126 Artist-Run Gallery, Anna McLeod and Meadhbh O’Connor have joined forces to develop an exhibition, ‘Temporal’, which examines how we now stand on the precipice of ecological disaster. Positioned on Ireland’s Atlantic coast, the artists provide a space in which to explore conservation and ecology through artistic practice. McLeod’s practice mediates complex ideas associated with contemporary, historical and cultural readings of land use through a variety of visual art media and sculptural processes; while O’Connor explores materials with changing, living or other less-controllable qualities, ranging from large-scale sculptural installations to ephemeral works.
