Fergus Feehily exhibits at the Shūrinkan Gallery in Kanazawa. Included in the exhibition is the artist’s series of ema, small wooden votive tablets on which the Japanese write wishes or prayers on before hanging them in a Shinto shrine or Buddist temple. The tablets function as vehicles of communication with the kami (divinities) or with protective spirits.
