Colette Langan has worked in the conservation, restoration and manufacture of stained-glass windows for over thirty years. In her exhibition, ‘Fragile’, at The Leitrim Design House, Carrick-on-Shannon, Langan explores the delicate nature of existence, and how, like glass, it is always at risk of fracture. The materiality of glass, however, is a reminder that vulnerability is not a weakness, but a connection.
