Mary Burke’s ‘Pride and Passion – Farm Portraits’ at the Custom House Studios and Gallery, Westport documents day-to-day life on Irish farms, conceived on the artist’s visits to farms in Co Limerick. Filled with livestock, hills, fields, corrugated roofs, farm machinery and the steel, chrome and glass of milking parlours, the paintings provide a detailed portrait of farming life.
