At the Hamilton Gallery, Gráinne Cuffe and Jane Murtagh’s exhibition ‘The Mind and the Eye’ shows work that explores the themes of botany and ethnobotany through different uses of copper. Cuffe’s copper plate etchings depict a range of flora while Murtagh’s repoussé and etched panels in patinated copper and bronze draw on a range of natural and craft materials using a strong colour palette.
