Multi-disciplinary artist Claudia Rose draws inspiration from the historical relationship between the Ards Peninsula and Irish textile industries. Her sculptural/print work in ‘Bated Breath’ at the Sunburst Gallery, Ards Arts Centre connects contemporary materiality to artefacts from a period of socio-cultural poverty, social inequity, and yearning for autonomy.
