The Source Arts Centre, Thurles presents ‘Sonorous Tones’, an exhibition by Francis Tansey. Tansey’s work is characterised by his interest in colour fi eld and hard-edged abstraction, and he uses acrylic paint in a glazing technique to create vibrant works. ‘I have dedicated the past forty years to trying to understand the principles and properties of colour,’ says the artist.
