Work by Martina McAteer is included in the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art in Wisconsin’s International Biennial Portrait Competition. The Wexford-based artist exhibits ‘Spirit Warrior’, which refl ects her continuing interest in fantastical and surrealist themes. McAteer paints with oil and gold leaf, fusing slow and methodical painting with the free and playful.
