‘Heart Space’ by Katie Byrne at the Athlone Art Gallery reflects the artist’s practice, which is grounded in her connection with the earth. Byrne grows her own materials, sowing seeds and using the plants and blooms to create her artworks, which are made using the traditional and delicate methods of flower pressing.
