In February 1990, Pádraig Grant, then a young photojournalist, travelled to Romania to witness the transformation of the country from the despotic Ceaușescu regime to the beginning of a new democracy. Photographs from the time, which were published widely in Irish newspapers, are now displayed at the Pádraig Grant Gallery in ‘Romania: Commemorating the 35th Anniversary of a Revolution’.
