Founded in Clonmel in 1987, the Women Artists Action Group (WAAG) included artists, art historians and professionals working in the arts. The Mermaid Arts Centre presents the touring exhibition ‘WAAG: an Archive’, which revisits the organisation through its records and examines the legacy and impact of the group on Irish art. Active until 1991, WAAG subsequently became part of the International Association of Women in the Arts (IAWA).
