This body of work represents training of Parachute Regiments before the Second World War. It explores use of parachutes, offering hope of escape in the dire circumstances of war. The fragility of the lightweight fabric against the vastness of nature reinforces the smallness of man among the bleak landscapes in which the wars were fought.
