I am a contemporary ceramic and textile artist based in County Cork and a recent graduate of Contemporary Applied Art at Crawford College of Art and Design. My practice explores themes of the body, anatomy and biological structures, drawing influence from scientific imagery, microscopy and material processes. Through the combination of ceramics and textiles, I investigate the relationship between hard and soft materials, creating sculptural works that sit between familiarity and discomfort. Recent work has been informed by research undertaken during a placement in the UCC Microbiology Department, where microscopic imagery and biological specimens became a starting point for exploring hidden structures within the body. Organic forms, repeated elements and tactile surfaces are used to examine ideas of vulnerability, resilience and connection. In 2026, I was awarded the CCAD Ceramics Graduate Residency and selected for the upcoming STEAM MTU Exhibition. I am currently developing my practice through ceramics, installation and material experimentation while exploring new directions in both sculptural and functional ceramic work.
