My work is influenced by my constantly evolving relationship with my environment. I'm drawn to different forms, patterns and objects both manmade and natural that appear in the world around me. My process involves extracting and using these found forms to build layered compositions that interact and flow energetically. With my practice being rooted in painting murals, it allows different locations to inform how my works are constructed, allowing the piece to engage with the site and become an abstracted and personal reaction to the space. In 'Fragments', I have merged these contemporary methods of composition with traditional printmaking techniques, allowing murals and prints to interact and play off each other in an attempt to join public, and private spaces together to tell personal stories.
