I am a Cork-based artist working in expanded materials sculpture, installation, paint and print. I have recently completed my degree, BA Visual Art (Hons) TU Dublin & Sherkin Island in May 2026. My practice draws on everyday domestic objects to engage with a number of critical feminist themes. I am interested in how these objects circulate through the home and how their consumer flow becomes fetishised as a stand in for the body itself, as well as exploring ritual, repetition and roles through daily actions, invisible labour and legacy. Through my work I aim to reveal the invisibility of labour at the heart of how the home in constructed ideologically. Using processes of casting as way to hold or capture and to notice the un-noticed. For my graduate exhibition body of work entitled: “Beyond the Surface” 2026 I created a site-specific installation incorporating, sculptural casting and installation. This body of work incorporated hand casts (artist’s hands) as well as two plaster cast domestic floor rugs and kitchen objects. This work was created within the domestic space of my own home, creating an embodied experience through the process and material of casting. It was then installed into a domestic space on Sherkin Island. The work intendeds to bring the viewer through the domestic space as an object narrative exploration in how the domestic space we inhabit everyday functions on a psychological level and through the unconscious.
