I, John Kelleher, have recently graduated from NCAD where I studied painting and am continuing to study paint at the RCA. My work is informed by my interests and experiences while living in Dublin. I often implement the city as a subject matter into my work; inspired by a geographical fascination with the watercourses that flow through the city. I have explored the field cartography and historical overlap with these sources.The world of craft and its contemporary context is of integral importance to myself. Its history and role in the life of the craftsperson has absorbed me and been a great part of the inspiration for my work.
