My final year project, STUCK, follows the main character Luci as she experiences her birthday again and again. As the day repeats itself, her reality begins to shift, and Luci comes to realize the danger of her predicament. She then attempts to escape, only to find that breaking this loop is impossible. My goal with my project was to showcase the fear of the passage of time, in order to create a cosmic horror setting for my protagonist. I wanted to capture the twisting of nostalgia, from a warm and comforting memory into a mournful and obsessive one, stemming from the protagonist's wish to relive the moment and stay forever.
