"Kitty's House” is the title of my collection inspired by the home my great-aunt owned. The collection explores the characteristics of the house and the past generations that moved through it. The house has fallen into disrepair throughout the years, and a lot of rooms have been frozen in time. I tried to bring elements of this through my collection. Designing both digitally and physically, I was able to work with older parts of the house in a new light using the Adobe Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator. CLO3D allows technical pattern manipulation, forming bold shapes and silhouettes without excessive time, paper and fabric. As a tribute to Kitty, I used her husband's love letters, cards and wallpaper from the interior of the house as inspiration for a repeat print. Shapes were derived from objects and ornaments within the house and colours inspired by rooms in the house.
