I am a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans sculpture, installation, and performance. My work examines the regulation and surveillance of women’s bodies through the intersecting frameworks of Catholic ideology, feminism, and Irish cultural memory. Rooted in my experience of growing up within Irish Catholicism, my practice interrogates the enduring impact of shame, repression, and institutional power on both the individual and collective body. Employing materials such as human hair, bone, chains, and found domestic objects, I create sculptural environments and performances using repetitive, labour-intensive processes. Through works that oscillate between vulnerability and resistance, I examine how systems of power persist across generations, embedding themselves within cultural behaviours, and contemporary forms of surveillance.
