In ‘Learning to Swim By Drowning’ at the Kenmare Butter Market, Cathy Bacon journeys into the hazy world between dreams and reality, conscious and subconscious, creating paintings that provide metaphors for unspoken emotions. Inspired by the landscape and colouring of the Beara Peninsula, Bacon’s works are also an ode to family life and the cast of wildlife found around her home.
