Seán Lynch’s exhibition ‘What Is An Apparatus?’ at the Ronchini Gallery, London, with his shows at John Hansard Gallery in Southampton and Groundwork in Cornwall feature a selection of his recent and new artworks, spanning video, photography and sculpture. Lynch’s artistic practice, as seen at the Venice Biennale, focuses on storytelling, specifically unwritten narratives and almost-forgotten histories. He pieces together oral histories and anecdotes to create new content to memorialise the often forgotten small stories which link and bind communities and the shape of society.
