As part of Culture Ireland’s 2016 Centenary Programme, James L Hayes will exhibit ‘Site of Production’ at the UNO-St Claude Gallery, New Orleans. This exhibition is the culmination of a research project that began during a residency at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin supported by the National Sculpture Factory, Cork. Composed of a series of one-off exploratory sculptural castings alongside documentary works, the works capture traces of the sites of production of seminal moments of modernist sculpture.
