Geraldine O’Sullivan’s ‘Light Keepers’ at the West Cork Arts Centre features eleven multi-layered collages and fourteen paintings based on oral histories, archive material and photographs, which capture the unique lifestyle of lighthouse keepers on Ireland’s coastline. In addition to the structures themselves, the work also seeks to capture the lives of the light keepers and their families. The exhibition has a short film on the history and inspiration for the project, with music by Justin Grounds.
