Gallery No. 6 introduces new works by Dermot Canavan. Highly charged and filled with colour, Canavan’s paintings explore themes of love, belief, politics and conflict, and range from abstract canvases to portraits of well-known figures. The development of the artist’s work is evident when compared with earlier drawings, which reveal his interest in the sketches of da Vinci, and again this is evident in his recent portrait drawings.
