In an exhibition at Clayton Whites Hotel, painter Mary Wallace brings her characteristic meditations on bowls, jars and other objects in a new direction. Long inspired by the art of kintsugi – the repair of broken ceramics with gold – Wallace has added a new sense of colour and scale to her paintings, while retaining their meditative quality.
